I’m a designer based in Colorado. After studying with the Vandercook letterpress during my BFA, I fell in love with all printed mediums. I especially gravitate toward the process of editorial design: art direction, authorship, and production.
I combine Alphonse Mucha’s ability to pair ethereal softness and dense content with Josef Müller-Brockmann’s rules of the grid. Through this, I can share narratives that speak to the metaphysical properties of humanity. I often work in collaboration with other people just as much as I look internally to express my creativity. The relationship of my internal and external reflection contributes to my ability to remind my audience of our shared humanity. Pinning my work on humanity is a core value in my practice.
Through my practice, I aim to keep the heart and soul of physical media alive. By supporting the designer, artist, and author behind a collectivist design practice, we can continue the vitality of physical media into the future. As a result, it becomes increasingly important to work with others through our design process so that it unites designers locally and internationally.
